Challenges

Neuro-Nudge Challenges are designed to push you far beyond your comfort zone. Unlike nudges, which are small, consistent actions that strengthen willpower, Challenges are larger commitments that demand resilience, perseverance, and mental toughness. A nudge might be running two miles when you don’t feel like it, but a Challenge could be training for and completing a marathon or even an ultra-marathon.

Access Through the Dashboard

Click on Challenges from the dashboard screen.

Add a personal challenge or select from a pre-existing challenge in the challenge library. Once you download a challenge from the library you can tailor it to fit a difficulty level that works for you.

After completing a challenge be sure to reflect and make notes in the app. We even provide prompts for you.

The Challenge Ranking System

Each Challenge in the Neuro-Nudge app is ranked on a difficulty scale from 1 to 10. This ranking helps you gauge the level of commitment, discipline, and effort required. Whether you’re new to pushing your limits or already accustomed to taking on difficult tasks, there’s a Challenge suited for your current level.

Note: All challenges in the library will have a difficulty level of 5 to start, but you should change these based on your experience.

  • Level 1-3: Pushes you slightly outside your comfort zone (e.g., a 24-hour social media detox, waking up at 5 AM for a week).

  • Level 4-6: Demands significant effort and discipline (e.g., completing a 30-day fitness challenge, sticking to a strict diet for a month).

  • Level 7-10: Extreme mental and physical tests (e.g., completing a triathlon, training for a 100-mile endurance race, undergoing a week of cold exposure training).

Why Take On a Challenge?

Challenges are about testing your limits, proving to yourself what you’re capable of, and building an unstoppable mindset. By committing to something truly difficult, you strengthen your ability to endure discomfort, persevere through obstacles, and gain confidence in your own resilience.

Reflecting on the Experience

After completing a Challenge, the Neuro-Nudge app includes journaling prompts to help you reflect on your experience. These questions encourage introspection, allowing you to analyze your performance, recognize growth, and apply lessons to future challenges.

Some example reflection prompts include:

  • What was the most difficult moment, and how did you push through?

  • How did this Challenge change your perception of your own limits?

  • What lessons did you learn that you can apply to other areas of life?
