Exercise Your Willpower on a Treadmill

The Week of Sept 2nd, 2024

Challenge: Walk or run on a treadmill with no distractions for as long as you can. No distractions means no phone, tv, music, etc…

Focus Categories:

Bonus: Journal about any thoughts that kept coming up as you walked on the treadmill. Pay special attention to the voice in your head that tried to convince you to get off the treadmill because you were bored and/or tired.

Pro tip: Try to sync your breath with your steps and find a rhythm. I personally like to breath in for 5 steps and breath out for 5 steps. It becomes a meditative practice after a while and helps to keep my mind off the question of “why the hell am I walking on a treadmill with no music…this sucks”.
